Best Actress 1988

The next year I'll be doing a profiles/ ranking on is 1988 and the nominees were:

Glenn Close in Dangerous Liasons

Jodie Foster in The Accused

Melanie Griffith in Working Girl

Meryl Streep in A Cry In The Dark

Signourney Weaver in Gorilla's In The Mist

I decided to upload a picture of each of them since I don't have their nominee's picture. So, who do you think will be my pick? Who are you rooting for?

I think Glenn should have won in 1988 and I think she's also your pick.

I think four of them have potential to be your pick. I have only seen Griffith. Which means I am not rooting for anyone at the moment.

I have seen all of them except Queen Streep and it's such a strong year! Even Griffith has a chance of a high rating from you, I presume. But I rarely see someone who doesn't hate her. So I predict it's gonna be:

1. Close
2. Weaver
3. Streep
4. Foster
5. Griffith

I'm already excited!

For some reason Griffith's performance just didn't work for me. She wasn't able to carry the movie, I felt. But I loved Joan Cusack.

Maybe I need to see Working Girl again.

Dinasztie: I'm not sure who'll be my pick, since I've only seen Close, Foster, and Griffith. I liked Close the best, but I don't remember that much of Foster's performance and anythings possible.

Louis Morgan: Yeah, that's probably true. What did you think of Griffith's performance?

Malcolm: I don't think Griffith has a chance, but I didn't hate her when I first saw Working Girl. We'll see if your right.

Twister: I really liked Cusack and Weaver's performances and they managed to breath some life into Working Girl. What did you think of Glenn Close in Dangerous Liasons?

Malcolm: I saw on Fritz's blog that you were looking for La Vie En Rose and I found a link:http://www.movies-links.tv/movies/la_vie_en_rose/

There is not that much to it really. And that voice really is hard to get past for me.

Her voice didn't really bother me. You'll know my thoughts on her, but she'll be the third that I do a profile on.

Thanks so much for the link!
