Best Actress 1974

The next year I'll be doing a profiles/ranking on is 1974 and the nominees were:

Ellen Burstyn in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore

Diahann Caroll in Claudine

Faye Dunaway in Chinatown

Valerie Perrine in Lenny

Gena Rowlands in A Woman Under The Influence

So who will be my pick? Who are you rooting for?

I've only seen Dunaway and Perrine, out of those two I suppose I'd pick Dunaway. I think most of them have a good chance at being your pick.

I can only recall Burstyn's performance at the moment but I wasn't a fan of her.

This is supposedly a VERY strong year from what I've heard, but I haven't seen any of them.

Which ones have you seen yet, Joe?

Probably the strongest year ever.

Each one of them did wonders with their roles.

Louis Morgan: Yes,I think that's true.

Twister: I've seen Dunaway and Burtsyn. It does seem like a strong year.

Fritz: I know your thoughts on her, but what did you think of some of her other performances? Have you seen her in Requiem For A Dream?

Sage: I can't wait to see all of the performances! And it'll be interesting if Burstyn will still be your pick, when you do this year, since you think all of them were amazing.

Well, they're all fantastic, but there's two that really are just outstanding.

I've only seen Ellen and she's fantastic!

But I'm guessing it's gonna be Rowlands. Everybody loves her.

I think Ellen, Faye, and Geena all have their fair share of supporters. I'm not sure who'll be my pick.

I think Faye might be your pick :)

That's certainly possible. I did like her a performance a lot.
