Who should win at the Oscars this year (in my opinion)

Note: I haven't seen The Hurt Locker, Avatar, Inglorious Bastards, The Messenger, and Invictus yet, so these choices might not stay the same. Hopefully, I'll see Locker, Bastards, and The Last Station soon. So, here we go:

Best Picture: Precious is my choice. Up In The Air was a great film, but Precious just wowed me. Despite it's flaws with the fantasy sequences, it's still really impressive with great performances.

Best Director: (I won't do this one since I've only seen Precious and Up In The Air out of the nominees. But as of now, Daniels)

Best Actor: Jeff Bridges was good, but I wasn't bowled over by his performance. I think that Colin Firth really delivered. I think Dave Karger or somebody else from Entertainment Weekly called his performance "quietly powerful" which is a perfect description of it. Quite subtle work, but very rewarding.

Best Actress: I'm torn between Gabourey Sidibe and Carey Mulligan. Both were great and both would be deserving, but I'd say Sidibe. She was just devastating, and she was able to show her character arc perfectly. Plus, she was able to show her flaws.

Best Supporting Actor: (I've seen none of the nominees!)

Best Supporting Actress: Monique, of course. Fantastic performance! Both Kendrick and Farmiga were excellent, but Monique simply dominates this category!

Best Original Screenplay: (I've only seen Up from the nominees)

Best Adapted Screenplay: Up In The Air should take this one and probably will as well. It was a brilliant script .

So what do you think? Any problems with my choices? What are yours?

How come you haven't seen Avatar?! :) U don't want to contribute to the box office?

I didn't want to see it at first, but I sort of do now. I don't know, I just don't really have the motivation. And yes, I'm a little angry that it's surpassed Titanic!
