The nominees get more boring with each passing year...

I'm thinking about doing this year or 2007 after 1950, so I'll keep my vote secret, even though most know it ;D

I know your votes for both 2006 and 2007 :-)

I am just guessing that you will pick Judi Dench, Joe.

Twister: Well, I don't agree with that! Last year was very weak, except for Mulligan and Gabby. But this year is one of the best ever!

Sage: Do 2007! Who knows, maybe you'll love Cotillard on the second time.

Fritz: Yes, she's my pick, but with such a strong lineup, that could change!

Hellen Mirren all the way.

To me, nothing beats the subtle notes she so perfectly hit as she humanized the Queen. Before seeing Helen Mirren's rendition of her, I was under the impression that she's this cold-hearted bitch willed by her ego.

But then I changed my mind and realized that she really could have just been trying to hold on to what was left of British tradition as she defied Diana. I gathered this during all those quiet moments.

oh, and that scene when she's looking at the flowers and then receives some from the girl? Magnifique! I think that's the first time we actually see her as a human being, not some aristocratic bitch.

You'll know my thoughts on her soon. Glad to see you're back!

This is such a great year! I haven't seen Notes or Volver yet, but the other three ladies keep switching between being my favorite...they're just all so good.
